Евгения Эм, выпускница Дублинского Института Технологий, рассказывает о своём обучении в ДИТ

Здравствуйте, меня зовут Евгения Эм и я из России. В этой статье я хотела бы вам рассказать о моём опыте проживания и обучения в Ирландии.

Почему Дублинский Институт Технологий (ДИТ)?

Я являюсь студенткой Дублинского Института Технологий по специальности организатор мероприятий. Я выбрала ДИТ, т.к. он закрепил за собой уважаемую репутацию в сфере туризма и гостиничного дела. Программа предлагает изучению интересный выбор предметов и возможность выбирать те предметы, которые мне интересны и пригодятся в будущем.

Одним из положительных преимуществ программы является её нацеленность на практическую часть образования. Помимо шестимесячной стажировки, мы должны были отработать 200 часов на разных мероприятиях с целью приобретения опыта и знакомства с профессионалами в индустриях. Это даёт возможность в будущем трудоустройстве.

Уровень преподавания и знаний очень высок. Преподаватели не только дают теорию, но также делятся свои богатым опытом в различных сферах деятельности. Они также поощряют энтузиазм и оценивают идеи студентов по заслугам. Дискуссии являются неотъемлемой частью образования, что способствует самовыражению, развитию мысли и идей.

Почему Ирландия?

В Ирландии очень легко быть иностранным студентом в плане адаптации к культуре, стране и обычаям. Ирландцы очень дружелюбная и приветливая нация. Люди простые и всегда рады поболтать с Вами о погоде, культуре, произошедших событиях и т.п..

Фраза, которую часто можно тут услышать это - "take it easy", что означает "расслабься и не спеши". Поэтому ирландцы успевают не только работать, но и жить и получать от жизни удовольствие.


К тому же, Ирландия славится своими природными красотами. Вместе со своими друзьями мы частенько брали тур и отправлялись в какое нибудь графство, чтобы посмотреть достопримечательности и насладиться изобилием красот, которыми богата страна.


«Русская Масленица в Дублине»

Да, да, теперь и в Дублине отныне празднуют Масленицу. В 2010 году мне посчастливилось принять участие в организации этого фестиваля. Было много русско-народных танцев и песен, еды, веселья, улыбок. Самое главное - это то, что фестиваль объединил разные народы, чтобы отпраздновать такой замечательный праздник весны.


Участие в этом фестивале дало мне ценный опыт, незабываемые впечатления и шанс встретить интересных людей. Я очень благодарна своему институту, что он предоставил мне возможность проявить себя и посодействовать в организации такого масштабного мероприятия как Русская Масленица.



Под конец, я хочу сказать, что 4 года пронеслись для меня незаметно, взамен оставив бесценный опыт, знания, страсть учиться дальше и конечно же, приобретенных друзей и наставников.



Я всем рекомендую побывать в Ирландии, и если есть возможность учиться заграницей, то пусть это будет Дублинский Институт Технологий!

Christmas on Ice in the RDS rescheduled to Wednesday 15th December please confirm you can attend

Great News! Christmas on Ice for the International and Erasmus Students of DIT will now be on Wednesday the 15th December at 18.20 and 19.30.

This is a free event for International Students currently attending DIT and the times booked are 18.20 and 19.30. Please note you will need to arrive 20 minutes before your allocated time so that tickets can be distributed.

As space is limited for each of these times I would request that you email me with your preferred time as soon as possible at andrea.ryan@dit.ie as times will be allocated on a first come first served basis.


The Venue:


The venue hosts a incredible 1,000 m2 of eco friendly synthetic ice rink, as well as Ice Café to watch the thrills & spills on the rink, log cabins with a delicious hot chocolate, gourmet coffee, festive eats and treats or a tempting snack from the ever popular Chocolate Fountain.

Getting There:

The following Buses go from the City Centre to the RDS: 4, 4A, 7 and 45.

Please advise the bus driver where you want to get off if you are not familiar with this part of town. The full address is:
RDS, Merrion Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. Access to the event is through the Merrion Road entrance of the RDS.

Caution is advised while partaking in this event.

Lord Mayor of Dublin hosts welcome reception for International Students and awards Lord Mayor Scrolls to DIT Graduates

On December 02nd, The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Gerry Breen hosted a welcome reception at the Mansion House to honour international students from all over the world currently studying at third level institutes in the Dublin Region.

Despite the weather the reception was a very warm welcome to all new international students studying in Dublin.

The Lord Mayor especially thanked students for making Dublin their destination of choice for study.

As well as getting the chance to meet the Lord Mayor and students from other institutes, students heard about the special history of the Mansion House and Dublin’s status as a UNESCO City of Literature.

The Lord Mayor also awarded special Lord Mayor of Dublin Scrolls to DIT Graduates congratulating them on graduating from college and celebrating their contribution to life in Dublin.

Sachin Khokhar from India, BE Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Evgeniya Em from Russia, BSc Event Management were awarded scrolls in absentia.

It is hoped that these special Lord Mayor scrolls will be awarded from next year onwards to all international students graduating in Dublin.
