Prof. Brian Norton, President of DIT recently hosted a delegation from Northwest A&F University.
Northwest A&F University is based in Yangling in the Shaanxi province of western China. It is ranked in the top 40 Chinese Universities and is part of the prestigious 211 and 985 programmes of the national government. The delegation was lead by Prof. Zhang (Chairman of the University Council), and Prof. Hou (Vice President) and included representatives from the College of Economics, the Office of International Cooperation, the College of Natural Resources and the Yangling Agricultural High Tech Industries Demonstration Zone Liaison Office.
DIT and Northwest A&F currently collaborate for student exchanges, with a number of DIT students currently studying Chinese in Yangling. The purpose of the visit was to explore possibilities for further collaboration between the two institutions at graduate and the research level.
