International Graduate Programme 2012-2014
Graduate Position – Mumbai , India.
Enterprise Ireland works in partnership with client companies to help them
become world-class players and build a sustainable competitive advantage in the
global marketplace, leading to significant growth in exports. Our
International Graduate Programme is a two year programme which gives
graduates the opportunity to work with us in our overseas network to achieving
this. We are currently recruiting for our Mumbai office.
As a participant in the Enterprise Ireland International Graduate Programme, you
will be part of Enterprise Ireland's International Sales and Partnering team,
delivering marketplace services to indigenous Irish companies from all sectors
and industries - e.g. Food, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Engineering, Electronics
and Cleantech, Construction, Engineering, Print & Packaging, Consumer Retail,
Software and Internationally Traded Services.
As part of the induction process, your initial three weeks with Enterprise Ireland
will be spent in Dublin on an Induction and Development Programme. During this
time, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the organisation and how
we work. You will meet colleagues from both home and overseas and you will
commence the skills training for the two-year programme. In addition, you will
attend International Markets Week in Dublin, where you will attend buyer
meetings with colleagues from the overseas office.
When you first join your overseas team, you will work with experienced
marketing professionals, initially on market research projects. As you develop in
the role and gain more confidence, you will be given responsibility for your own
research projects and your work will include, for example, identifying key
potential customers, agents and market partners for Irish clients. You will
organise buyer visits to Ireland and visits by Irish clients to your market and be
involved in managing events such as trade fairs and exhibitions.
Day to Day Activities in the Overseas Office include:
• Market sector research for EI and EI Client Companies.
• Events: Organising trade fairs, buyer missions and Governmental visits.
• Networking for EI Client Companies: Cold Calling or pre sales support.
• Attendance at Business Development Meetings with Market Advisor or
supporting EI clients at meetings.
• Advising or consulting EI Clients on strategies or tactics on markets /
sectors.
• General Office Duties: financial / admin / diary / document management
etc.
Competencies for the Role
The functional and behavioural competencies which we believe are essential to
success in this role are outlined below. Candidates will have to demonstrate their
competence in these areas.
Functional Competencies - Key Skills & Knowledge
• Business Degree or Masters (minimum 2.1)
• Qualification in ICT desirable
• Language fluency in English and Hindi essential
• Understanding of international business environment
• Understanding of business development cycle including sales and
marketing
• Excellent organizational skills
• Good understanding of the role of state agencies in the development of
indigenous industry
• Has an overview of industry policy in Ireland.
